The topic of this paper is about the most important properties of fused cast materials, proper sampling and analysing techniques. Due to the fact that fused cast materials are non-homogeneous materials the location of the taken sample is of extreme importance. The paper explains the importance of proper sampling and sample location on the values of several important properties of fused cast materials. In addition it compares the properties of Western world production materials and materials from Chinese producers.
